Following some brief confusion about when fans can expect the Doom Patrol live-action series, DC Universe has clarified its plans with the release of 2018-2019 calendar staking out each of its original projects.
Although no specific dates are given, we can discern that Young Justice: Outsiders, the long-awaited third season of the beloved animated series, will be split into two halves, with the first premiering either in late December 2018 or the beginning of January 2019, and run through early February. The second half is scheduled to pick up in June.
In between, running from mid-February to late May, will be the first season of the Titans spinoff Doom Patrol, followed immediately by Swamp Thing, the live-action series produced by Aquaman director James Wan. That will lead in to the late-August premiere of Stargirl, starring Brec Bessinger as the teen superhero.
The 2019 calendar is rounded out in mid-October by the Harley Quinn animated series, starring The Big Bang Theory veteran Kaley Cuoco in the title role. She’s joined by an all-star cast that includes Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Wana Sykes, Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Natalie Morales, Tony Hale, Jim Rash, Chris Meloni, and Diedrich Bader, reprising his role as Batman.
The Titans live-action series, which kicks off the DC Universe Originals slate next week, has already been renewed for a second season. However, that doesn’t appear on the streaming service’s 2019 calendar, suggesting fans may have to wait until 2020.
Debuting Friday, Oct. 12, on the DC Universe streaming service, Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Robin, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, Minka Kelly as Dove, and Lindsey Gort as Amy Rohrbach.
