Jessica Jones star says she's "proud" of how the show ends after Netflix cancelation
From Digital Spy
Krysten Ritter has said she is "proud" of the forthcoming ending of Jessica Jones, following the recent announcement of the show's cancellation.
The Netflix series – alongside its spin-off The Punisher – were the final shows in Netflix's Marvel universe to be axed, following the earlier endings of Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
Jessica Jones will return for its final season later this year. And, taking to Instagram on Monday (February 18) following the announcement, lead star Ritter told fans that she is happy with the ending to Jessica's "journey".

"Taken a few weeks back at the table read for our series finale," Ritter said of the photograph.
"I love these people to the moon and back. It has been a dream to play Jessica alongside my amazing cast and the best crew in the business for these past 5 years. I am so grateful for every second of it.
"We have THE BEST fans. You guys mean the world to me and I appreciate you beyond words. The final season of Jessica Jones is coming later this year and I am proud of how we complete JJ’s journey. I can’t wait for you all to see it. Stay tuned and more to come."
While Netflix will no longer air the shows, there is still hope the Defenders' separate series will return elsewhere.
In a letter to fans, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb gave hope to the series cropping up elsewhere, hinting that the universe's stories are "to be continued".
And, seeing as Hulu has already confirmed interest in picking up some of the axed Netflix Marvel series, we wouldn't give up hope just yet.
Jessica Jones airs on Netflix.
