www.cbr.com/avengers-infinity-war-rated-pg-13/Surprising perhaps no one, Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has been rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America, for “intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action throughout, language and some crude references.” Every Marvel Studios film thus far has received a PG-13 rating, and it certainly doesn’t affect the box-office receipts. Black Panther, the most recent installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, earned its PG-13 rating for “prolonged sequences of action violence, and a brief rude gesture.” Infinity War has already sold more advanced tickets than the past seven MCU films combined. It’s tracking toward a $200 million-plus opening weekend in North America, which means the film would join four other Marvel films with $175 million-plus debut weekends: The Avengers ($207.4 million), Black Panther ($202 million), Avengers: Age of Ultron ($191.3 million) and Captain America: Civil War ($179.1 million). Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Bettany, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin, among others. The film opens April 27 worldwide.
