Shazam! screenplay writer Henry Gayden has signed on to write a sequel for Warner Bros. and New Line Cinemas, according to The Wrap.
Director David F. Sandberg and producer Peter Safran are also reportedly expected to return for the follow-up.
Seperately, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has stated that the associated film Black Adam is expected to begin filming "in about a year."
Warner Bros. has reserved two release dates in 2020 (April 3 and July 24), but a release date for either film has not been announced.
