Plot Revealed By George Marston, Newsarama Contributor April 11, 2019 02:31pm ET In a presentation webcast to investors focused on their direct-to-consumer streaming services including Disney+, Disney finally confirmed details about the live action streaming series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel president Kevin Feige announced Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will all return to their big screen roles in the long-form series Loki, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and what he seemed to refer to as "WandaVision." Feige also revealed what the first episode of the original animated series based on the Marvel Comics property What If? would be, describing it as What if Peggy Carter got the powers from the Super Soldier Serum and Steve Rogers remained his scrawny self, but was given a superpowered suit of armor designed by Howard Stark? The series will feature actors who originated live action roles voicing their characters. This could be what Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo was teasing months ago when he said Chris Evans was "not done yet" playing Steve Rogers after Endgame. No mention was made of the reported Hawkeye series that surfaced earlier this week, and no release dates for any of the planned series were announced.

www.newsarama.com/44272-marvel-s-what-if-turning-into-tv-show-for-disney+-report.htmlMarvel's WHAT IF? Turning Into TV Show for DISNEY+ - Report By Chris Arrant, Editor March 12, 2019 09:01am ET Marvel Studios is developing an animated series based on the memorable What If? title for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service, according to SlashFilm. Like the original comic book series, Disney+'s What If? would reportedly be standalone stories playing out alternate versions of memorable moments from Marvel history; one specific one noted is What If? #47, which asked "What if Loki had found the hammer of Thor?" (Note for nothing, Tom Hiddleston's Loki did find the hammer of Thor in the feature film, but was unable to lift it). Marvel Studios is reportedly angling to have some of the actors from the MCU return to voice their characters in this animated series. This would be the first animated series undertaken directly by Marvel Studios, although it is possibly they could partner with Marvel Animation (or another in-house Disney animation studio) on the project. Earlier this year, Marvel Television announced plans for five animated series with Hulu.
