BY COLLIER JENNINGS 06/08/20 Disney+ and Marvel Studios' Hawkeye will introduce Kate Bishop to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the protege of Clint Barton, and the working title for the series is a nod to her comic adventures. Murphy's Multiverse has revealed the series' working title is "Anchor Points," a reference to the first volume of the series by Kelly Thompson and Leonardo Romero. "Anchor Points" features Kate moving to Los Angeles, where she sets up a detective agency. That series spun out of events in Matt Fraction's Hawkeye run, which also featured Kate as a prominent character and inspired the television series. Created by Allan Heinberg and Jim Cheung, Kate Bishop made her debut in 2005's Young Avengers #1 and served as a founding member of the team. She was a socialite who took up Clint Barton's bow and arrow, and her bravery led to Captain America bestowing the mantle of Hawkeye upon her in 2006's Young Avengers #12. The character has become a fan-favorite over the years. Hawkeye stars Jeremey Renner as Clint Barton. The series arrives on Disney+ in 2022.
